Tirtagangga Hot Springs Resort Hotel
Of the many hotels and lodgings in Cipanas, Garut, Tirtagangga Hot Springs Resort Hotel is our favorite. The Hotel is situated closest to the source of thermal water, so the natural water flowing to the hotel’s pool and baths is much cleaner and warmer.
Its rooms are spacious, clean, simple but tastefully furnished.
Some of the rooms are even equipped with private natural hot tubs.
The hot pools and hot fountain in the courtyard is quite open but still respect privacy.
Room 101 was the room that we always stayed when we were there.

Ratu Boko
Kraton Ratu Boko (Ratu Boko’s Palace) stands proudly at the top of the hill, facing north toward the Prambanan Temple and Mount Merapi. When most of the historical relics in Java are in the form of religious temples, Ratu Boko site is believed to be a remains of a palace. The locals believe that the palace once belong to King Boko, the king’s in the Javanese folklore of Lara Jonggrang, but archaeologists think it was the palace of King Sailendra of Mataram

Cangar Natural Hot Springs
Cangar Natural Hot Springs is about an hour from Batu toward Pacet, East Java. This thermal pool is located inside R Soerjo Forest and it actually has the potential to become a prime tourist destination in East Java. Unfortunately, it is poorly maintained and rather filthy.
Shoshone Falls
Shoshone Falls on the Snake River, also known as the “Niagara of the West” is located approximately 5 miles east of the city of Twin Falls, Idaho. With its 212 feet height, this waterfall is 45 feet higher than Niagara Falls.
The best time to visit Shoshone Falls is during spring and early summer when the water is overflowing. I and my husband visited this waterfall in early September, when the water flow was depleted. But the view remained spectacular and breathtaking.
Airterjun Shoshone di Snake River yang dikenal juga sebagai “Niagara Barat”, terletak sekitar 5 mil dari kota Twin Falls, Idaho. Dengan ketinggiannya yang mencapai 64,7 meter, air terjun ini lebih tinggi 14 meter dibandingkan Air terjun Niagara
Waktu paling tepat untuk mengunjungi tempat ini adalah pada musim semi hingga awal musim panas, pada saat aliran sungai dari salju yang mencair berlimpah. Saya dan suami mengunjungi tempat ini pada awal September, ketika debit air sudah berkurang untuk irigasi. Namun pemandangannya masih tetap memukau.

Dari sisi cerita, permainan watak dan sebagainya, Chinese Zodiac (CZ12) ini terbilang sangat enteng dan encer. Film tentang JC, pencuri barang-barang antik, yang dikontrak untuk mencuri 12 kepala patung tembaga binatang dalam penanggalan China di tengah protes dari berbagai kalangan untuk tidak memperdagangkan warisan budaya negara-negara dimana barang-barang antik tersebut berasal.
Banyak adegan yang enggak perlu dimasukkan sebagai hiasan untuk menonjolkan laga Jacky Chen yang prima. Dan, sebagaimana film-film Jacky Chan yang lain, film ini lumayan kocak baik dalam adegan maupun percakapannya.

Les Misérables adalah musikal yang dilayarperakan. Alur cerita dan lagu-lagunya hampir semuanya mengikuti musikalnya yang diangkat dari novel sejarah karya Victor Hugo yang ditulis pada tahun 1862. Berkisah tentang Jean Valjean (diperankan oleh Hugh Jackman) bekas napi bernomor “24601” yang baru saja menjalankan hukuman selama 19 tahun karena mencuri roti untuk keponakannya yang kelaparan. Perjuangannya untuk berubah dari seorang yang pembenci menjadi seorang yang penuh kasih dan usahanya untuk menghindari kejaran inspektur Javert (Russel Crowe). Latar belakang film ini adalah pergerakan mahasiswa Perancis di tahun 1832 (bukan Revolusi Perancis).
Banyak adegan dan lagu-lagu yang menyentuh perasaan dalam film ini seperti lagu “I dreamed a dream” di atas, yang dinyanyikan oleh Fantine (Anne Hathaway) yang akhirnya terjerembab untuk melacurkan diri setelah kehilangan pekerjaan, menjual rambut dan giginya agar bisa menghidupi anaknya Cosette (Amanda Seyfried).
Film ini jauh lebih bisa dinikmati dan diresapi daripada musikalnya … Mungkin karena kalau di musikal kita tidak bisa menangkap raut wajah pemainnya dan lagunya dinyanyikan dengan tempo yang lebih cepat, jadi agak tersendat-sendat kita menangkapnya.
